Daltonganj, July 16: Morning walkers to the Gandhi Maidan Park here today were in for a healthy surprise when they found a free sampling collection of blood for blood sugar and cholesterol tests all free.
The sampling of blood collection for blood sugar and cholesterol was held by the Lions Club of Daltonganj Femina and Leo Club together.
A total of 364 visitors gave their samples of blood, 153 of them exclusively for diabetes tests said a well-known social face Indrajeet Singh Dimple.
The samples were collected most scientifically, added Dimple. The Apollo Diagnosis carried out the sampling today which would be pathologically examined properly and acutely and a proper report of the test of blood sugar and cholesterol would be duly communicated to the persons concerned either through their What’s app number or hard copy of it, reiterated Dimple.
Sources said this is the first ever occasion when in any park samples of blood were collected for tests of now a day’s lifestyle disease. The Lions took the lead. The wings of the Lions Club of Daltonganj have done a good job said many.
Such was the interest, curiosity and enthusiasm of the morning walkers for the test that the office bearers of the Lions Club are seriously contemplating to have a few more such sampling in the coming Sundays hinted Dimple.
The Lions have decided to foot the entire cost of the bills on account of the tests of blood sugar and cholesterol, informed Dimple.
