Jamshedpur, July 22: Jamshedpur Continuous Annealing and Processing Company Private Limited (JCAPCPL) and Tata Steel Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to continue its journey of transformation and sustainable community development.
This strategic partnership aims to address pressing social challenges and drive positive changes through various programmes.
Ujjal Chakraborti, Managing Director, JCAPCPL, and Sourav Roy, Chief Executive Officer, Tata Steel Foundation signed the MoU last evening to initiate the implementation process.
“JCAPCPL is thrilled to join hands with Tata Steel Foundation in our pursuit of a more equitable and sustainable society. Together, we believe that the potential for transformative change is immense, and by leveraging our collective resources and expertise, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of those in need,” said Ujjal Chakraborti adding that the engagement with Tata Steel Foundation helps in maintaining a balance of our employees between work and their commitment towards social responsibility.
The programs signed under the MoU are ‘Sabal’, ‘Masti Ki Pathshala’, ‘Integrated Pond Farming’, ‘Ecokari- conversion of plastic waste into goods’ and ‘Golf for caddy and underprivileged children’.
The key objectives of the various programs fall under education enrichment, health and sanitation, livelihood enhancement, environmental sustainability, women’s empowerment, and community development.
Speaking on the occasion, Sourav Roy, Chief Executive Officer, Tata Steel Foundation said, “We are delighted to enter into a partnership with JCAPCPL, an organization that shares our vision of empowering communities. We are confident that this collaboration will bring about positive change and create a brighter future for the marginalized and underprivileged.”
