Dhanbad, July 22: IIT ISM will conduct five- day Executive Development Programme (EDP) for training of 30 general managers of SECL Bilaspur from July 24-28 on- Project and Financial Management with Application Software at Bilaspur.
An IIT ISM official said the EDP is a step towards training the top and middle management of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) with the latest developments in the area of project and financial management.
“ It aims to expose the participants to the latest developments in the area of project management in coal mining sector and also learn practical applications with state of the art project and simulation software,” the official said.
The GMs who would take training in the 5-day training programmes are K Mere, RK Kashliwal, Srikanta Das, Prabhakar Ram Tripathi, Manoranjan Biswal, ST Patil, UC Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Prakash Rai, Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Ritesh Sobti, Sharad Kumar Tiwari, Naresh Prasad, Praveen Kumar, Bipin Kumar Lal, Rajendra B Thakre, RH Sindhur, Surendra Singh Chauhan, Sanjeev Kumar, i Atul H Singh, i Manoj Bishnoi, Ajay Kumar, Meghshyam Deshpande, A Jha, Juluru Ekambaram, Sujit K Pisharodi, Satya Kam Anand, G Rajendra Kumar and Ramesh Kumar Singh.
Dr P S Mishra, CMD, SECL Bilaspur will inaugurate the programme on July 24.
Prof Rashmi Singh, assistant professor of department of Management Studies & Industrial Engineering, IIT (ISM) who is also the programme coordinator highlighted the significance of an effective project management with the latest state of the art softwares in the coal mining sector.
She also emphasized that productive efficiency of coal mining sector can only be enhanced by such capacity building programmes for executives working in the sector.
In the workshop, Prof Ganesh Shukla would shed light on Latest Development in Project Management in Coal Mining Sector, Prof Rajni Singh, Dean (Media & Branding) on leadership and motivation inmanagement project, Prof Sandeep Mondal on scheduling in application software, Prof Rashmi Singh on risk analysis and simulation modelling, Prof Shashank Bansal on sources of financing and working capital, Prof Nidri Das on financial appraisal of projects and prof Preeti Roy on sustainable investment in project.
