Ramgarh, July 25: Villagers caught a young man and handed him over to the police for trying to rape a 50-year-old woman working in the field in the Gola police station area. This incident happened on Sunday evening. The woman was working alone in the field.
During this, 25-year-old Sunil Mahto, a resident of Sosokla, started forcing the woman to have physical relations. On Monday, on the written complaint of the victim, the police registered an FIR at the police station and sent the accused to the Ramgarh jail in judicial custody.
The woman said that she was working in the field. On finding her alone, the youth started doing obscene acts with her and attempted to rape her. Hearing the screams, the people living nearby reached the spot. Seeing the people coming, the accused tried to run away from there. But the villagers caught him. After this people thrashed him fiercely and handed him over to the police.
