Dhanbad, July 27: Four research scholars of IIT ISM have been selected by the universities of Germany to complete their master’s thesis under the guidance of TU9 Technical Universities.
The TU9 is a consortium of the nine leading technical universities in Germany that includes RWTH Aachen, TU Berlin, TU Dresden and others.
Leibniz University Hannover has selected K Manoj (civil engineering department ), RWTH Aachen University has selected Avirat Puranik (chemical engineering department); Technische Universität München has selected Indira Mishra, (environmental science & engineering department) and Dresden Leibniz University Hannover has selected Keerthana Anthikat Sukesh, (environmental science & engineering department)

An IIT ISM official said all four research scholars have been selected for scholarship under the Combined Study and Practice Stays for Engineers from Developing Countries (KOSPIE) India programme.

The scholarship programme will begin from September 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024.

The KOSPIE India program is directed at students from the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) to give them an opportunity to complete a project work as part of their master’s thesis under the guidance of a professor from TU9 Technical Universities in Germany.
The selected students would receive scholarship payments of 861 euros per month (Approximately Rs 78,351), besides payments for health, accident and liability insurance coverage.
