Ramgarh, July 27: Muzaffar alias Tanga Baba was sentenced to life imprisonment in the murder case of his friend and business partner, a resident of Mazar Mohalla of Chitarpur in Ramgarh district. Along with this, a fine of Rs 40,000 was also imposed. The incident occurred on September 26 2020.
The hearing of the case was completed in Nath Singh’s court on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the court has convicted Muzaffar alias Tanga Baba for murder and imposed life imprisonment under section 302 of the IPC and a fine of Rs 20,000. At the same time, under the Arms Act, three years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 20,000 have been imposed. If the convict does not pay the fine imposed in both the Acts, he will have to undergo simple imprisonment for an additional six months.
Muzaffar shot Imtiaz over a transaction of Rs 50,000. Both Imtiaz and Muzaffar used to buy and sell old vehicles. There was a rift between the two over a transaction of Rs 50,000.
Muzaffar shot his own friend Imtiaz at around 9 pm at Chitarpur’s Mazar Mohalla. After the incident, the injured Imtiaz was admitted to a Ranchi hospital for treatment, but he died during treatment.
