Ramgarh, Aug 7: A one-day practical training session titled ‘BodySpeaks: Decoding Vital Signs’ was organized by PVUNL (Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited) at Jayanagar Panchayat Bhavan on Monday. Around 50 participants, including ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, ANM and PRI members from Jaynagar and Balkudra villages participated in the event.

Led by the Corporate Social Responsibility and Rehabilitation (CSR/R&R) group, the initiative aimed to educate primary health workers on vital signs for better health care.

The training session began with enthusiasm as the medical team from PVUNL Health Center explained the importance of vital signs and their role in assessing the overall health of a person.  Through engaging demonstrations, participants were shown that vital signs can be accurately deciphered using a range of modern equipment.

Primary health workers actively participated in the session.  They presented thought-provoking questions that elicited expert responses from the medical team, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

As a gesture of support and encouragement for the vital work done by these healthcare heroes, PVUNL handed over a comprehensive medical equipment kit to the headman of the Jayanagar and Balakudra villages.  The kit included essential equipment such as a weighing scale, glucometer, BP monitor, stethoscope, stadiometer, thermogun and oximeter, empowering them to accurately assess patients’ health.

To express gratitude for the dedication of the participants, PVUNL distributed branded umbrellas, symbolizing their commitment to meet the healthcare challenges.  The program ended on a positive note with participants and PRI members heartily thanking PVUNL, Patratu for organizing the enlightening training session.

A dedicated ASHA worker from Jayanagar village expressed her appreciation, “This training has given us a new sense of confidence. We now understand the importance of vital signs and how they can be crucial in timely healthcare intervention. PVUNL  Their support through medical equipment kits and umbrellas shows their commitment to our well-being.”
