2 CRPF jawans injured in encounter with Maoists in W. Singhbhum

Ranchi, Aug.11: Two CRPF personnel sustained bullet injuries in an encounter between Maoists and security personnel in Husipi village under Goilkera police station area of West Singhbhum district.

They are associated with CRPF 60 Battalion. They include constable Sushant and Havildar Munna. Constable Sushant sustained injuries at his leg and is out of danger. Havildar Munna sustained bullet injuries at his chest and is in critical condition.  Both were airlifted and admitted to Medica Hospital in Ranchi for treatment.

A police official said the encounter started after the security personnel destroyed the bunker of top Maoist gun Misir Besra and compelled him to escape with his Maoists guerillas deputed for protection.

Official information in this regard is yet to be circulated by the police headquarters.
