Ramgarh, Aug 11: Kendriya Vidyalaya Patratu won the two-day divisional volleyball competition on Friday.10 schools of the Ranchi division participated in this competition. Competitions for boys under-14 and under-17 were held at Kendriya Vidyalaya Patratu.
Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya Jamtara, Dhanbad, Madhupur, Bhurkunda Patratu, Barkakana, Deepatoli, Hinoo etc participated in this competition held from August 9 to 11. There were a total of eighteen matches of the U-17 league between all the schools.
The final match took place between Kendriya Vidyalaya Patratu and Kendriya Vidyalaya Bhurkunda in which Kendriya Vidyalaya Patratu won the three sets by 25-13, 25-16 and 25-20. At the conclusion of the competition, Vijay Kumar, an official of Kendriya Vidyalaya Ranchi Division, appreciated the facilities for living and eating and other arrangements.
Addressing the students, the Principal of the school RC Gond congratulated the players for their sportsmanship and for taking victory and defeat in a positive manner.
