Ramgarh, Aug 11: Two-day rural volleyball competition started in the CCL Rajrappa area on Friday. The programme was inaugurated by P.N. Yadav, General Manager of CCL Rajrappa area. A total of 16 teams from Ramgarh, Chitarpur, Gola, Dulmi and Gomia (Bokaro) blocks are participating in this competition.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) nodal officer Ashish Jha said that a two-week residential camp was organized under CSR in which a total of 30 children were trained. A total of four teams from the camp and 12 teams from outside will compete in this competition. The main objective of the programme is to promote rural sports. President of Ramgarh District Volleyball Association, Gopal Ram, who is giving technical assistance in the programme, also appreciated the event.
On this occasion, CD Singh, ex-employee of CCL and secretary of Ramgarh District Athletic Association, thanked the CCL management, especially the general manager, that after a long time, such a large-scale sports event is being organized. Trade union representatives including senior officials of CCL Rajrappa area and members of ACC were present in the programme.
