Jharkhand disabled cricket team leaves for Tamil Nadu

Ramgarh, Aug 23: The Jharkhand disabled cricket team left for Tamil Nadu on Thursday under the leadership of Divyang Parivartan Foundation, an organization committed to the cause of the disabled.

The disabled players from Jharkhand will take on Kerala in a three-day triangular match to be held in Coimbatore.  Under the leadership of the organization’s secretary Athar Ali, the players have left for Coimbatore. The tri-series Galaxy Cup will be played at the Sri Nehru Mahavidyalaya College of Arts and Science Ground in Coimbatore.  Jharkhand’s first match will be against the Kerala team.

The players of the team are Rajesh Kumar (Captain), Pramod Kumar (Bokaro), Fagu Karmali (Ranchi), Vinod Kumar Mahto, Shakuni Munda, Shivam Kumar, Md Irshad, Mangal Munda (Ramgarh), Rajesh Kumar (Hazaribag), Bharat Kumar Mahto (Dhanbad), Mudassir Khan (Jamtara), Bhupesh Kumar (Latehar), Azhar Giridih.

Sandeep Karmali is the Team Manager, Jitendra Kumar is the Team Coach, Bablu is the Physiotherapist and the Secretary of the organization is Athar Ali. Organization’s Chief Patron Vijay Mewar and Ramgarh District Sports Officer Marcus Hemrom jointly encouraged the players by garlanding them and presenting jerseys at the Yamaha Showroom Shivam Bikes located at Thana Chowk.

Hemrom said that Jharkhand is also a state rich in talent. The chairman of the organization M. Siddique welcomed the players of Divyang Parivartan Foundation at Ranchi railway station who are going on behalf of the Jharkhand team and introduced all the players to each other and he heartily congratulated all the players. He said that the team will definitely come with the trophy, this is his heartfelt thinking and their hard work will be successful, the government is sensitive towards the disabled.
