Dhanbad, Aug 24: Both factions of the Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University Teachers Association (BBMKUTA) have been dissolved to participate in a single poll scheduled in September.
A senior member of the Teachers’ body said that the decision was taken at a meeting presided by Dr RK Tiwary (president) in which both the factions (Dr Himanshu Shekhar Choudhary and Dr BN Singh ) signed to dismantle their body and contest a single election in the interest of teachers.
General secretary of both the factions Dr Himanshu Shekhar Choudhary and Dr BN Singh have signed the agreement.
The two teachers associations had been formed in Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University (BBMKU) in 2018 when an election was held for the first time.
But now both the factions (Dr Himanshu Shekhar Choudhary and Dr BN Singh) have resolved to unify the body.

“It was decided at the meeting to hold the election of BBMKUTA in the third week of September. Before that, all the constituent colleges have been directed to hold elections in their respective unit by September 10, so that the electoral roll can be prepared,” said a member.
At the meeting, it was also resolved to form an election committee for conducting fair, transparent and peaceful election.
Teachers of constituent colleges and officials of the Federation of Universities Teachers Association of Jharkhand (FUTAJ), the frontal organization of all university teachers of the state, have welcomed the decision of both factions and said that this landmark step would strengthen the teachers’ unity in the university.
