Dhanbad, Aug 26: The Jharkhand Health Service Association (JHSA) today raised the issue of atrocities on doctors across the country at a meeting of the All-India Federation of Government Doctors Association (AIFGDA) in Mumbai.

The president and the secretary of government doctors associations of all the states are participating in the three days conference, which kick-started on August 25.

Dr PP Shah (president) and Dr Shamim Akhtar (coordinator) of the JHSA are representing the State. JHSA secretary Dr Thakur Mritunjay Kumar Singh did not go to Mumbai due to a crucial meeting scheduled on Sunday (August 27) in Ranchi.

JHSA secretary Dr Thakur Mritunjay Kumar Singh said that at the Mumbai meeting a national regulatory body would be formed to monitor government doctors associations of all the states.
He said that as per agenda of the AIFGDA Mumbai conference, a thorough discussion would be held on health service related violence and inhuman treatment with government doctors across the country.

Government doctors in all states should be given dynamic ACP at par with the central government. “JHSA has been agitating for it for a long time and we hope the health minister and additional chief secretary (ACS) health would implement it in Jharkhand soon,” said Dr Thakur.
The AIFGDA would also discuss over demanding proper food arrangement for the government doctors during deputation in a Religious Mela organized in different states and smooth payment of TA/DA of the deputation period.
“A special session would be also held during the conference to discuss over providing quality health service to patients and role of doctors in it,” said the JHSA secretary.
