Thousands of agitators reached Gomoh station at around 12.30 pm and  stood on the railway tracks at Gomoh station stopping  Gomoh- Barbadih passenger train  ( 53347) and a goods train from moving.

The Kurmi Samaj demanding inclusion in Schedule Tribes category and other demands had announced Rail Roko agitation at the Gomoh railway station of Dhanbad Rail Division from September 20.

Dhanbad SDM Uday Rajak on Tuesday evening  imposed Section 144 under Hariharppur police station area of Topchachi circle.  For stopping  agitators from entering at the Gomoh railway station, heavy force of police and RPSF were deployed on different points with  setting up barricades.

However, after first hours’  of peaceful protests, agitators assembled at Chitro of Topchachi block at  12 noon  and proceeded to the Gomoh station in a procession.
Since  numbers of agitators were more than the security forces, they reached the station and stopped  train after minor resistance.
