Ranchi, Oct 8: Jharkhand’s Chief Secretary, Sukhdev Singh, will review pending cases that have been unresolved for over four years on Tuesday, October 10.

The Chief Secretary’s office has written to the Home Secretary and the DGP, stating that the Chief Secretary, through video conferencing, will review these cases involving the Zonal IG, Range DIG, all District SSPs, and SPs.

Prior to this, on October 5, ADG Operations had reviewed pending cases with the District SSPs and SPs.

To expedite the resolution of long-pending cases, a guidance and supervision committee has been formed. This committee is chaired by ADG Operations Sanjay Anand Lathkar. All Range DIGs are members of this committee.

There has been a noticeable acceleration in addressing old pending criminal cases. The State Police Department is actively engaged in completing this task with determination.
