Ranchi, Oct 29: Sadar Hospital has become one such district hospital of the state, where more than half a dozen super speciality departments have been started.
Patients are benefiting from the services available here, and they are getting healthier. Specialists in gastroenterology, urology, nephrology, medical oncology, surgical oncology, haematology, and cardiology provide consultation and treatment to patients.
Next week, a dedicated cancer ward will be initiated for cancer patients. Additionally, a 10-bed dialysis unit has been established on the hospital’s sixth floor, where the nephrology department’s Dr Navin Kumar Barnwal oversees kidney-related patient dialysis.
During this time, doctors are also ready to provide appropriate treatment for any issues patients may have.
The urology department offers OPD services to patients six days a week.
Chemotherapy has also begun at the district hospital.
A cardiac care unit and a critical care unit have been established for the cardiology department. Four beds have been designated for this purpose.
Additionally, six beds have been designated for the urology department. If the number of patients increases, the number of beds will be increased as well.
Civil Surgeon Dr Prabhat Kumar stated that an adequate number of beds are available.
The following doctors have been appointed in the super speciality department:-
Gastroenterology: Dr Jayant Ghosh (OPD-Monday, Wednesday and Friday) available for endoscopy on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Urology: Dr Prashant (Wednesday, Friday), Dr Pankaj (Tuesday, Thursday), Dr Shailendra (Monday, Saturday)
Cardiology: Dr Rajesh Jha (Monday and Thursday)
Medical Oncologist: Dr Gunjesh (Wednesday and Friday)
Surgical Oncologist: Dr Prakash Bhagat(Available all days of the week)
Nephrology: Dr Naveen Kumar Baranwal (2 pm to 4 pm every day)
Cardiology: Dr Rajesh Jha (Monday and Thursday)
Hematology: Dr Abhishek Ranjan (available all days of the week).
