Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren marked his 49th birthday today by sharing an emotional post on social media platform X, reflecting on the challenges he has faced over the past year. Along with his heartfelt message, CM Soren posted a picture of a mark on his hand, a symbol of his time in jail.

In his post, Soren wrote, “On my birthday today, the memories of the past year are etched in my mind. This mark on my hand, which was placed on me when I was released from jail, is not just mine. It symbolizes the current challenges facing our democracy.”
He further elaborated, “When an elected Chief Minister can be imprisoned for 150 days without any evidence, complaint, or crime, it raises the question—what will they do to ordinary tribals, Dalits, and the oppressed? I don’t need to explain this. On this day, I am even more determined to strengthen my resolve to fight for every oppressed, marginalized, backward, tribal, and indigenous person. I will raise my voice for every individual or community that has been suppressed and denied justice, targeted for their color, community, food, and attire. We must unite to build a society where the law is equal for everyone and where there is no abuse of power.”
CM Soren acknowledged that the path ahead will not be easy, stating, “Yes, this journey will not be simple. We will face many challenges. But I believe that together, we can overcome these challenges. The unity and diversity of our country is our strength.”
On his birthday, Soren also expressed his gratitude for the love, blessings, and support he has received from everyone.
