New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his three-day visit to the United States on Saturday to participate in the Quad Leaders’ Summit and address the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). The visit is expected to further enhance India-US relations and strengthen multilateral ties within the Quad framework.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi expressed his enthusiasm for the visit, stating, “I will be on a visit to USA, where I will take part in various programs. I will attend the Quad Summit being hosted by President Biden in Wilmington and also address the Summit of the Future in New York.”

Amid speculations regarding a potential meeting between PM Modi and former US President Donald Trump, the Ministry of External Affairs has not confirmed any details. Trump had recently expressed his eagerness to meet PM Modi, calling him a “fantastic leader.” However, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri stated that “many meetings are still being scheduled,” and further updates would be provided.
The visit is being closely watched for its potential to deepen the strategic partnership between India and the US, while also enhancing cooperation within the Quad framework for regional stability and prosperity.
