An official order from the Chief Secretary’s office stated, “The national flag will fly at half-mast throughout the state on all buildings where it is flown regularly. All state government functions are canceled, and there will be no official entertainment during this period.”

Additionally, the Haryana government declared December 21 as a public holiday in all state government offices as a mark of respect to the departed leader.

Om Prakash Chautala will be accorded a state funeral at 3 PM at his family’s Teja Khera farm in Sirsa district, where his last rites will be performed.
