Ranchi: The much-awaited Radha-Krishna temple in Pundag, Ranchi, is set to be inaugurated on January 5. Touted as the largest temple of its kind in the state, it took seven years and an investment of approximately ₹2 crore to complete. The inauguration ceremony will see participation from the Pranami community across India and abroad.
The event will also feature a four-day Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, and the temple aims to serve as a center of worship and social welfare, providing aid to the underprivileged.
Key Features of the Temple
•Artistic Glasswork: The interiors showcase exquisite glass artwork, adding to the temple’s grandeur.
•Dedicated Ashram: A special ashram on the second floor is designed to house differently-abled individuals, offering them food, clothing, and medical facilities.
•Free Meals: A kitchen will prepare three meals daily for those in need.
•Modern Amenities: The temple is equipped with elevators for easy access to all floors, especially for senior citizens and differently-abled devotees.
•Historical Exhibits: Life-sized displays depicting Lord Krishna’s life, from his birth to the Mahabharata era, will be featured.
•Golden Chariot Wheels: The boundary is adorned with 20-25 golden-colored chariot wheels, enhancing its visual appeal.
•Clean Water Facilities: RO water facilities ensure access to clean drinking water.
•Spacious Design: Spread over 3,500 square feet, the temple provides ample space for devotees.
•Grand Entrance: The main gate showcases a depiction of Lord Krishna lifting the Govardhan mountain.
The inauguration of this grand temple marks a new chapter for devotees and promises a blend of spirituality and community service.
