Ranchi: The Jharkhand government, in collaboration with The Nudge Institute, has launched the NAZ Indian Administrative Fellowship (IAF) to bolster governance efficiency through policy reforms, project management, and technological innovation. Finance Secretary Prashant Kumar (IAS) stated that the fellowship aims to strengthen the state’s administrative machinery by injecting private sector expertise into the public system.
He emphasized that the fellows, with over 20 years of private sector experience, are working closely with departmental teams to analyze existing processes, review data, and identify areas for improvement. Their contribution is expected to significantly enhance the implementation of government schemes and drive inclusive and sustainable development across the state.
Launched on February 3, 2025, at Project Bhawan in Ranchi, the IAF is a strategic initiative to accelerate policy execution, embed innovation in departmental practices, and promote transparency and accountability in governance. In the initial two months, fellows have collaborated with officials to assess systems and design improvement agendas.
In the coming months, these professionals will help scale critical projects, with each fellow set to present a detailed work plan for their primary initiatives to departmental secretaries. The Finance Secretary noted that this step is aligned with the state’s vision of enabling efficient, citizen-centric governance.
