Ranchi: A district-level review meeting on the Ujjwala Yojana was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri. Officials from oil companies and the district supply department were present to assess the implementation of the scheme across the district.
Beneficiaries not refilling to be identified
During the meeting, it was revealed that several beneficiaries who received LPG connections under the Ujjwala Yojana have never refilled their cylinders. The district administration has now decided to identify such individuals and initiate KYC (Know Your Customer) verification to ensure the scheme reaches genuine and active users.
Pending subsidies to be released soon
The Deputy Commissioner also directed officials to expedite the disbursement of subsidies to beneficiaries who have yet to receive them. The move aims to improve transparency and ensure rightful access to government welfare initiatives.
