Ranchi: A significant career opportunity has emerged for Indian Police Service (IPS) officers of the Jharkhand cadre to serve as the Director Vigilance (Police) in the Indian Railways. The Union Home Ministry has officially informed the Chief Secretary of Jharkhand about this opening through a formal letter.

Deputation Role and Extended Deadline

The letter from the Home Ministry clarifies that the position is available on a deputation basis and is pegged at Level-13A in the pay matrix. Recognizing the need for wider participation, the deadline for submitting nominations for this prestigious post has been extended to July 25. This extension provides interested and eligible officers with additional time to apply.

Call for Nominations

The Union Home Ministry has requested the Jharkhand government to ensure that this vacancy is widely circulated among all relevant IPS officers within the state. Eligible and willing officers are encouraged to send their nominations to the Home Ministry for consideration. This presents an excellent chance for officers from the Jharkhand cadre who are looking to contribute their services to the Indian Railways on a central deputation.
