Ranchi: Jharkhand cadre IPS officer Kuldeep Dwivedi has been appointed as Joint Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Alongside him, Assam-Meghalaya cadre IPS officer C. Venkata Subba Reddy has also been given the same responsibility.
Appointment Approved by DoPT and ACC
According to the order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), both officers have been appointed to the post with approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). Their appointments ensure continuity in CBI’s leadership with officers who have already served as DIGs within the agency.
Kuldeep Dwivedi’s Tenure
Kuldeep Dwivedi, a 2005-batch Jharkhand cadre IPS officer, was previously serving as DIG in CBI. His appointment as Joint Director will be for five years, lasting until 17 January 2029.
C. Venkata Subba Reddy’s Tenure
Similarly, C. Venkata Subba Reddy, a 2007-batch IPS officer from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre and also a former DIG in CBI, has been appointed as Joint Director for a period of five years, until 29 October 2029.
