Ranchi: The Ranchi Municipal Corporation launched a major anti-encroachment drive today around the Nucleus Mall area. The enforcement team, along with police personnel, carried out the operation, demolishing illegal structures built on roads and footpaths. Extended portions of shops, roadside carts, and temporary stalls occupying public spaces were also removed.

Encroachers’ Goods Seized

During the drive, officials confiscated the belongings of encroachers and issued warnings to those present. They made it clear that strict action would be taken in the future against anyone found encroaching on public land again.

Goal to Ease Traffic and Improve Movement

Municipal officials said the purpose of the campaign is to make the city encroachment-free, ensuring smooth movement for citizens and reducing traffic congestion. They also confirmed that similar drives will continue in the coming days to maintain order and discipline on Ranchi’s streets.
