Other districts also witnessed sharp drops, with Daltonganj recording 3.2°C, Bokaro Thermal 5.1°C, Chaibasa 6.8°C, Lohardaga 6.0°C, and Seraikela 5.5°C. The capital Ranchi was not spared, as the mercury dipped to 7.3°C, adding to the widespread cold conditions.

Day Temperatures Offer Little Relief

Despite sunshine during the day, biting cold winds continued to trouble residents. Maximum temperatures remained relatively low, offering limited comfort. Chaibasa recorded the highest maximum temperature at 27.8°C, while Ranchi saw 21.8°C, Jamshedpur 25.5°C, and Latehar only 17.3°C, underscoring the persistence of cold weather.

Districts including Ranchi, Bokaro, Gumla, Khunti, Lohardaga, Palamu, and Latehar are expected to continue experiencing severe cold, with little change in minimum temperatures over the next two to three days.

Ranchi and Surrounding Areas Forecast
