Ranchi: On the occasion of Republic Day, Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar hoisted the national flag at Ranchi’s Morhabadi ground and took salute of the ceremonial parade. Addressing the gathering, he urged citizens to renew their resolve to build a prosperous, happy and empowered Jharkhand, while remembering the sacrifices of freedom fighters who laid the foundation of the Republic with their courage and sacrifice.
Constitution is Our Sacred Document
The Governor emphasized that the Constitution of India, enacted and adopted by the people themselves, laid the foundation of a bright future for the nation on January 26, 1950. Calling it one of the finest constitutions in the world, he highlighted that it reflects the nation’s collective wisdom—based on past experiences, present needs and future aspirations. He described it as a sacred document inspired by the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family), rooted in global brotherhood and human welfare.
Jharkhand on a Path of Steady Progress
The Governor noted that Jharkhand is progressing steadily in all sectors—be it infrastructure, energy, innovation in industry, improvements in education and health, or agricultural reforms. Rich in mineral wealth, the state is playing a vital role in both economic development and national transformation.
