PM Releases PM-Kisan Installment In Assam, Targets Congress Over Land And Security Issues

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Assam on Friday and launched development projects worth more than ₹4,570 crore through video conferencing due to bad weather. He also released the 22nd installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme and flagged off three new railway services, while launching a strong political attack on Congress during his address.

₹18,640 Crore Transferred To Farmers Under PM-Kisan Scheme

During the event, the Prime Minister transferred ₹18,640 crore directly into the bank accounts of 9.32 crore farmers across the country with a single click as part of the 22nd installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. The initiative aims to provide financial assistance to farmers and strengthen agricultural support systems nationwide.

Development Projects And Railway Services Launched

PM Modi virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple infrastructure projects worth over ₹4,570 crore in Kokrajhar. He also flagged off three new railway services aimed at improving connectivity and boosting economic development in the region.

PM Modi Criticizes Congress Over Policies In Assam

Addressing a public gathering, the Prime Minister launched a sharp attack on Congress, describing it as a party that makes false promises without the intention to fulfill them. He accused the party of creating divisions among people and compromising both national and regional security.

Allegations Over Land And Infiltration Issues

PM Modi alleged that Congress policies had endangered the identity and security of Assam by supporting illegal infiltrators. He claimed that tribal lands in districts such as Dhubri and Goalpara were handed over to infiltrators during previous regimes, which disrupted the demographic balance of the Bodoland region.

Praise For Assam Government’s Land Recovery Campaign

The Prime Minister praised Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for launching campaigns to reclaim land allegedly occupied illegally by infiltrators. He said these efforts are aimed at protecting the rights of indigenous communities and restoring rightful ownership of land.
