Gopalganj: In a shocking incident, Bijendra Nath Tiwari, elder brother of Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi, was attacked with a sharp weapon in Belsand village under Madhopur police station area in Gopalganj, Bihar. He has been referred to Patna for advanced treatment after his condition deteriorated.

How the Attack Happened

The attackers had reportedly been lying in wait, and struck Bijendra Nath with sharp weapons as soon as they got the opportunity, leaving him seriously injured. By the time local residents and family members arrived after hearing his cries, the assailants had already fled the scene. The motive is said to be old enmity and a personal dispute. Family members and villagers rushed him to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital, where doctors administered initial treatment before referring him to Patna due to the severity of his injuries. He is currently under medical care.

Main Accused Identified

Madhopur police reached the spot with force soon after the incident and began investigation. Officers say the main accused has been identified and that the attackers will be behind bars very soon, with strict legal action to follow.
