CISF Signals Crackdown on Illegal Coal Trade in Jharkhand, ADG Chairs Review Meeting in Ranchi

Ranchi: A two-day review meeting of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) was held in Ranchi to strengthen security and control illegal activities across Jharkhand’s coal regions, chaired by ADG Sudhir Kumar, with the meeting covering a detailed review of operational readiness, security arrangements and the overall security scenario of coal areas across CISF units in Bihar and Jharkhand.

Focus on Strengthening Security at Sensitive Coal Installations

The meeting placed particular emphasis on strengthening the security of sensitive installations linked to coal production and transportation, improving the effective use of intelligence inputs, enhancing inter-unit coordination, and ensuring stronger control over illegal activities through modern security strategies. Detailed discussions were also held on recent developments related to the MMDR Act and their impact on security management.

ADG Directs Officials to Maintain Vigilance at Key Installations

ADG Sudhir Kumar directed officials not to allow any laxity in the security of installations of national importance, stating that given evolving security challenges, the CISF must continuously strengthen its operational capability, technical efficiency and rapid response systems.

Senior CISF Officials from Bihar, Jharkhand Attend Meeting

The meeting was attended by Inspector General Prabodh Chandra, Deputy Inspector Generals Sumant Singh, Jitendra Kumar Tiwari, Praneet Chandra, Amit Mathur and Rajeev Mishra, along with unit commanders and senior officials from all CISF units across Bihar and Jharkhand.
