Suryapet: A neurosurgeon was burnt to death on Sunday morning after his car crashed into a road divider and caught fire near Pillalamarri on the Khammam-Hyderabad highway in Telangana’s Suryapet district, while he was on his way home to Hyderabad.
Car Bursts Into Flames After Losing Control
The accident occurred at around 7:15 am when the vehicle reportedly lost control and collided with a divider before catching fire, with the blaze completely gutting the car. Passersby alerted the police, but by the time a fire engine reached the spot, the vehicle was already engulfed in flames, leaving no chance to rescue the driver.
Victim Identified as Doctor from Mamata Hospital
Based on the car’s registration number, the deceased has been identified as Dr. Kasakurti Jagadish, a neurosurgeon associated with Mamata Hospital in Khammam, who was travelling from Khammam to Hyderabad to meet his family.
Drowsy Driving Suspected, Probe Underway
Preliminary investigation suggests that drowsy driving may have caused the crash, though the exact cause is still being determined. Police have registered a case, and a forensic team has collected the charred remains for further examination.
