Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, known for helming “Panchayat,” the film blends folklore with fantasy in the story of an urban young man whose life changes when he arrives at a mysterious, forbidden forest linked to his ancestral village. After an ancient divine power awakens there, he finds himself confronting events beyond ordinary logic and is eventually tasked with protecting his people from a looming threat. The film draws heavily on Bihar’s folk traditions and cultural setting, with Chhath Puja forming a significant part of its narrative.
