Jamshedpur: BJP workers staged a protest on Tuesday against the stone-pelting that took place during their attempted gherao of the Congress office in Bistupur, burning an effigy of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi near Jubilee Park roundabout.
Slogans Raised Against Congress
During the demonstration, BJP workers raised strong slogans against the Congress and expressed anger over the incident. Jamshedpur East MLA Purnima Sahu also joined the protest.
BJP Alleges Congress Workers Pelted Stones
Sahu said BJP women workers were heading to gherao the Congress office in Bistupur over a sexual harassment case linked to Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) when Congress workers allegedly pelted stones at them. According to her, several BJP workers were injured in the incident. The BJP demanded action against those responsible.
