Ranchi, Aug.6: A day after the state cabinet decided not to give due importance to Hindi in the recruitment test the BJP opposed the move saying it is disrespect of the official language in Hindi speaking belt.
BJP spokesman Pratul Shahdeo said that the present policy is not in favour of those general category candidates who are natives of Jharkhand but are outside the state for better education.
He said by giving regional language status to Urdu it has adopted an appeasement policy to polarise minority votes in its favour.
He said by not giving regional language status to Angika, spoken in Godda and Sahibganj, and Bhojpuri, which is spoken in Palamu and Garhwa, the state government has done injustice with natives of Palamu and Garhwa.
Shahdeo said that the BJP top leaders will soon start an agitation against it and for that, a line of action will be chalked out soon.
