Ranchi, Aug.9: Parliamentary Ethics Committee Chairman Vinod Kumar Sonkar today inaugurated a training programme of the BJP health volunteers at the party’s state headquarters in Harmu.

Over 100 workers are participating in the training programme aimed to reach each village of the state to prepare each and every villager to get ready for a decisive fight against novel coronavirus, which has thrown normal life across the world out of gear.

During the training programme, each volunteer was given a kit bag containing a thermal scanner to check body temperature, oxy-meter to check oxygen level, sanitiser for sanitization purposes, gloves and mask besides Homeopathic medicine and literature to create awareness.

Before the training started, Sonkar talked to a section of media persons and explained the situation under which the training programme was being organized.

“We have planned to reach around 2 lakh villages across the country. In each village, we have planned to field one female and one male health volunteer to create awareness on Covid-19 and ensure proper help to villagers in case of Covid-19 infection,” Sonkar said.

“Its requirement was felt after taking experience from two waves of the pandemic when people faced problems due to confusion. There was an atmosphere of panic. People hoarded essential commodities out of fear and chaotic situations got created,” Sonkar said.

Asked how the party will take care of people across the country, he said: “For the purpose, an app has been developed by the BJP IT cell through which people can take help through telemedicine. With the help of software, people can get connected with doctors of their choice across the country.”

Those present along with Sonkar in the programme included BJP state organizing Secretary Dharampal Singh, former chief minister and state BJP legislature party chief Babulal Marandi, BJP vice president and former MLA of Mandar, Gangotri Kujur besides others.

In Jharkhand, the party has planned to reach each of the 32623 villages across the state through its volunteers.
