Ranchi, Sept.8: BJP legislator Neelkanth Singh Munda raised the issue of lathi charge on the BJP workers in the House demanding action against the police officials responsible for resorting to the lathi charge.
Munda said four leaders of the BJP sustained injury in the incident and sought reply of the chief minister in the matter though speaker Rabindranath Nath Mahto did not ask the CM to reply.
“The matter has come into the knowledge of CM. I cannot tell him to reply right now,” speaker Mahto said.
Earlier Munda said it was an attack on the democratic right of a person of peaceful demonstration. He said that the march had started from Harmu ground and reached near Jagannathpur temple peacefully.
“Attack on peaceful march is an attack on democratic arrangement and the CM should reply under which circumstances the situation arose,” said Munda supported by other legislators of the party.
Following this, BJP legislators started disturbing the proceedings of the house on the issue of lathi charge.
