New Delhi, Oct 10: The 13th round of crops commander level talks to address the ongoing military stand-off between the Indian and China along the line of Actual Control(LAC) in eastern Ladakh begun in the Moldo on the Chinese side at 10:30 am on Sunday.

Notably, soldiers of India and China clashed last year resulting in the loss of several lives on the both sides. Earlier, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO) Summit in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, met Chinese counterpart Wang Yi. Both the leaders discussed the border tensions and disengagement along the Line of Actual Control(LAC) in border areas.

The Indian team was led by Lt Gen PGK Menon, Commander of XIV Corps based at Leh. Major General Liu Lin, Commander of the South Xinjiang Military District, had lead the Chinese side today. The military standoff between the two countries on the Ladakh border has been going on for a long time. It is believed that in today’s conversation, the issue of soldiers stationed in Hot Spring will be discussed. There have been 12 rounds of talks at the military level between the two sides, but no concrete solution has been found so far.
