Ranchi, Nov 22: Neglected for years in the hope of restoration, Nehru Park located near the State Secretariat Project building will be renovated within a month.

On Monday urban development department secretary Vinay Kumar Choubey made a surprise inspection of the park. He inquired about the renovation work and the time required to complete the work from the Deputy Project Officer of JUIDCO, who was present on the spot.

The important works being done in this park include a decorative railing, an attractive fountain, benches and sports resources, decorative campus lighting and two solar-based lights beside a walking track, landscaping work.

The secretary directed that the area around the park should also be beautified so that the people who reach here feel that they are going towards the state secretariat. He also directed to complete the work at the earliest without compromising the quality.

Recently, chief minister Hemant Soren came out of his office and suddenly visited this park and the surrounding area and gave instructions for renovation. According to JUIDCO officials, it may take another month for the restoration of this park.
