Daltonganj, Jan 2: Palamu police will offer muffler and gloves to the auto rickshaw drivers, informs Palamu SP Chandan kr Sinha. Palamu SP will hold an interactive session with the auto drivers on Monday where he will be distributing mufflers and gloves among the drivers.

“The autorickshaw drivers play a vital role in carrying passengers and patients as well and it is Corona time and hence they must feel, in this new year that Palamu police care for them as well,” said SP.

There are around 500 auto rickshaw drivers here who will have a direct opportunity to speak their issues before the SP. On being told that many auto rickshaw drivers have no driving license but they drive the vehicle to which SP said he is not going to meet them on Monday to pick holes in them but to motivate them to tender positive services to the society in this hard time of pandemic.

SP informed that his sitting with the autorickshaw drivers is a part of social policing. He said that he has another plan for school students who falter in English and suffer silently.

“Our rural boys and girls have no less merit. They have less opportunity and exposure. In the coming week, we will push off to some far off rural government high school with kits for improving English vocabulary,” said Palamu SP.

“Police will try to help these rural government school students to shed their hesitancy and nervousness towards English. We want school students to be well versed in English,” he further added.
