“If we look at the Covid-19 data of the state it can be said that, if the cold retrieves from the state then by the mid of February the Covid-19 infection will die down,” Kumar said.

“If the death happens due to lung infection then only it can be called that the death has happened due to Covid-19 infection,” Kumar added.

Dr Pradeep Bhattacharya, Head of Critical care at RIMS said that the chances of heart attack and brain stroke increase in the winter season, which is a prominent reason for the increased death cases in the state. The death cases reported due to Covid-19 infection are mostly due to the co-morbid situation of the patients.
