Ranchi, Jan.31: All India Congress Committee Jharkhand in-charge Avinash Pande underlined the importance of communication, coordination and common minimum programme for better function of the UPA government in the state.

He shared his view during a press conference at Press Club where four legislators of the party working as ministers in the state government besides other senior party leaders were present.

“Communication needs to be improved and the common minimum programme should be taken seriously,” Pandey said in reply to a query of media persons during his hour-long press conference organised to share what he did and what he observed during his three-day stay in the state.

Replying to a query regarding neglect of the Congress party advice to the state government on 27 per cent reservation for backward classes, Pande said: “It was the outcome of poor communication, nothing more than that.”

Asked regarding the allegation of the government toppling attempt by one section of the Congress party legislators, Pande ruled out the possibility saying each legislator of the party is committed to use the opportunity given to him/her to serve the people of the state.

Asked whether the party would like to change any minister from the Congress party, Pande ruled out the possibility but at the same time assured supportive supervision of the minister to improve their performance.

Regarding the strengthening of the Congress party in the state, Pande said very soon faces of dashing leaders will surface in the party and the party will be stronger.

Asked regarding the statement of a section of Congress party legislators against the party line, he said special care will be taken to ensure that the party discipline remains intact as a discipline is the first priority of the party.

Pande during the press conference said proper attention will be paid to establish coordination committees at the state and district level to root out the complaints of the neglect of the party workers by bureaucrats and administrative officers.

On Geeta Shree Oraon resignation alleging the Congress of being anti-tribal, he said that the charge is wrong.
