Gumla Bar election: Gidwar Aghan Oraon to be new President, stops Nand Lal from scoring hat-trick

Gumla, March 1: The District Bar Association election results were released late on Monday night. On the post of president, Gidhwar Aghunu Adhanu Oraon won after getting 127 votes, while his rival Nandlal got 86 votes.

Gidhwar Aghanu Oraon stopped Nandlal from scoring a hat-trick this time. On the other hand, Shravan Sahu became the winner by getting 94 votes for the vice-president’s post. Whereas Ravinder Kumar Singh got the second position by getting 83 votes and Raghav Singh got third position by getting 35 votes.

While in the post of General Secretary, Omprakash Babulal won the seat by securing 79 votes, while his rival Rajnarayan Nag got 61 votes.

Meanwhile, Amar Kumar Sinha got 71 votes for the post of Administrative Secretary. He defeated Aditya Prasad by just 5 votes.

For the post of Library Secretary, Sudhir Kumar Pandey won the chair by getting 125 votes. Murli Manohar Prasad (32), Karam Dayal Khadia (20) and Mangra Oraon got 14 votes. On the other hand, for the post of Assistant Treasurer, Surendra Ohdar became the winner by getting 146 votes.

Among the six executive candidates, Angelo Mojesh Bakhala got 139, Avneet Kumar Pandey got 154, Md Tauheed Alam 132, Ramlakhan Dubey 154 and Rakesh Kiran became the winner by getting 144 votes.

96 percent voting took place in seven posts of Bar Association Gumla. In total 232 voters were there but only 218 casted their votes. No work of the Bar Association was affected during the voting process.
