Deoghar, March 26: The general purohits (priests) and employees of Baba Baidyanath Dham temple will now be classified with the help of ID cards.

According to new guidelines issued by Deoghar DC Manjunath Bhajantri, every employee will bear an ID card according to his post. All 54 employees are being given their ID cards.

This demand was raised by the Panda Dharm Rakshani Sabha for many days. The Sabha has also demanded a dress code for the employees.

Senior Vice President of Panda Dharm Rakshani Sabha Sanjay Mishra strongly advocated the implementation of a dress code for employees.

“After the incident that had happened with Barkagaon MLA Amba Prasad on Mahashivaratri, a dress code for employees has become necessary,” he said.

He claimed that in the Amba Prasad incident, the face of the entire purohit society was disgraced due to one man. If a dress code was enforced earlier, the entire society would not have been blamed.

Meanwhile, the distribution of ID cards has started but the dress code is yet to be implemented.
