Ranchi, March 26: The Education Department and the Jharkhand Council of Educational Research and Training (JCERT) have released notifications instructing officials to prepare for organising Olympiads and Quizzes in different subjects for students of classes 9 to 12 at district and state levels in state run schools.
With this objective in mind, a three-member committee has been formed comprising the JCERT officials. It is their responsibility to organise district-level quiz competitions in the state-run schools in the first week of the summer vacation this year. They are to further organise a state-level camp for all the district-level winners in the JCERT premises in the last week of the vacation, wherein the winners who secured first position class wise for the state level will be rewarded for their efforts.
Meanwhile, another three-member committee has been formed to help organise weekly quiz and monthly examination at the state level, at the district level through District Education and Training Institute (DIET) under the supervision of District Education Officer. The department has also instructed that the JCERT would award the students who have excelled throughout the academic session in weekly quizzes and monthly examinations.
The committee is to also collect the monthly report from the Education Officers and the Principals through DIET and to present a recommendation at the end of the academic session, rewarding the students achieving first position class wise.
