Dhanbad defeat Ranchi to clinch Men’s title at 15th Jharkhand State Inter District Youth Volleyball Competition

Ranchi, March 31: Dhanbad Men’s team defeated Ranchi team by 3-1 sets in the final to win the Leo Case Memorial Trophy in the 15th Jharkhand State Inter District Youth Volleyball Competition organised by East Singhbhum District Volleyball Association under the aegis of Jharkhand Volleyball Association. Bokaro’s team finished in third and Hazaribagh in fourth.

 

The Women’s team of East Singhbhum won the DG Raj Smriti Trophy by defeating Dhanbad district in straight sets. Godda ended up at the third position and Ranchi at fourth.

 

At the conclusion of this competition, the Jharkhand Volleyball Association honoured the best coach and judge of the year 2021-22, who gave excellent service in the field of state volleyball.

 

The Shekhar Bose Award was awarded to International Coach Rajesh Kumar Singh whereas the Joga Singh Memorial Award was awarded to International judge Sanjay Kumar.

 

The ‘Sunil Sahai Lifetime Achievement Award’ was awarded to S. Shiv Raman, the senior most player of East Singhbhum and Shri M. Rajan Memorial Award for Best District Association was awarded to Dhanbad District Volleyball Association..

 

Dhanbad’s Adarsh Raj was awarded the title of the best Men’s Player of the tournament whereas the best Women’s Player title was awarded to East Singhbhum’s Anushka Pradhan.
