Dhanbad, April 25: The MBBS students of Phulo Jhano Medical College Hospital (PJMCH) Dumka have set a new record by donating 81 units of blood.

PJMCH, Sadar Blood Bank and Satan Ashram Dhadhakia had jointly organized the donation camp in wake of the prevailing blood crisis in the district, especially at government hospitals where blood is given to poor patients as well as the needy free of cost and without replacement.

Director of medical education wing of state health department cum principal of PJMCH Dr Arun Kumar along with Swami Atamanand of Satan Ashram jointly inaugurated the camp.

The principal Dr Kumar on the occasion highly appreciated the efforts of MBBS students and encouraged them to continue the spree. He also shed light on the importance of donating blood.
