Ranchi, May 25: The three hockey players from Jharkhand, Beauty Dungdung, Deepika Soreng and Mahima Tete have been selected in the 23-member Indian junior women’s hockey team for the UNIFER U20 tournament to be held in Dublin, Ireland.
The tournament will be held from June 19 to 26. The Indian team will play against Netherlands, Ireland, USA and Ukraine.
All the three players are from Simdega and have been an integral part of the Hockey Jharkhand team. Beauty Dungdung is already a regular member of the junior Indian women’s hockey team.
India will play their first match against hosts Ireland on June 19, followed by their Netherlands on June 20. The third match will be against Ukraine on June 22 and USA on June 23.

Hockey Simdega President and Vice President Hockey Manoj Konbegi while congratulating the three players said that it is a matter of pride not only for Simdega but for the entire state that three players from the state are being selected together in the Indian team.
