RAJ KUMAR
Ranchi, May 25: Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) deputy commissioner Rajnish Kumar was taken aback after he noticed a peepal tree on the triple storey building constructed by the Jharkhand State Housing Board during his hour-long visit in the locality to see the cleanliness.
Expressing his concern over the tree on the dilapidated building, Kumar rebuked ward councillor Arun Kumar Jha and asked him to take initiative to declare the building condemned.
Though Jha said it was the property of Jharkhand State Housing Board itself and majority of the people staying in it are board staff, Kumar said residing in the building is dangerous.
Kumar also noticed the overflowing drain and presence of cow dung in the drain and instructed the supervisor of the locality Samud Ahmed to take proper action regarding the matter.
Kumar was accompanied by an enforcement team and was intentional to make the locality clean. Later, he also visited Hatia, Dinkar Nagar, Doranda, Morabadi and Main Road and inspected the drain cleanliness work.
