Dhanbad, May 31: BIT Sindri and Jharkhand Industries and Trade Association (JITA) have joined hands to promote the industry and provide internships to the students of the technical institution in the region.
In this regard, BIT Sindri and JITA would jointly hold an industry-institution meet, the first of its kind in the coal belt, next month in Dhanbad to open job opportunities for technical students and promotion of industries in the region.

As per the consent reached between JITA general secretary Rajiv Sharma and BIT Sindri director Dr DK Singh industry will provide an internship platform to the students while BIT Sindri will extend technological support.
Giving this information, JITA general secretary Rajiv Sharma said that this new initiative has been launched to make the functioning of the industry technically skilled and groom the future of youth in MSME in collaboration with new technologies in the institution and qualified professors of BIT Sindri.
Dr DK Singh, director of BIT Sindri at the meeting assured JITA of full cooperation and technical support from his institution to the industry of the area and said students would be available for internships in organizations. He said the new initiative would help in the promotion of industry and create job opportunities for youth, especially to Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) entrepreneurs.
“Students who have completed an internship in MSME have the high ambition of setting up industry. So, this initiative (internship in MSME) would encourage then setting up industry and pushing the country on the path of self-dependence,” said Dr Singh.
JITA general secretary Rajiv Sharma while appreciating the assurance of BIT Sindri said that it is an ambitious joint initiative of JITA and BIT Sindri which would not only promote the industry in the region but also make students technically skilled and establish themselves as an entrepreneur. He assured full cooperation from his organization in making the ambitious project successful and called upon all MSME industries to take advantage of it.
Sindri Chamber of Commerce Association (SCCA) Dipak Kumar Dipu, Basukinath Norani and Prof Upendra Prasad were also present at the meeting.
