Mumbai, May 25: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan on Sunday will host the IPL 2022 final and will unveil the trailer for his forthcoming film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ during the first inning and 2.30 minute strategic stoppage. The makers of the film confirmed this by posting a video on social media in which Aamir can be seen announcing the release of the ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ teaser.
The actor will host the finals on the Star Sports network and Disney+ Hotstar starting at 6 p.m. (IST). Aamir has gone out of his way to come up with unusual tactics to promote the upcoming release.
Notably Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, and Chaitanya Akkineni also star in the film, which is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios. Advait Chandan, who previously helmed ‘Secret Superstar,’ directed the film, which is an Indian version of the 1994 Tom Hanks classic ‘Forrest Gump.’ On August 11, the film will be released in theatres.
Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans, who defeated Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 1 to earn a spot in the final, will be one of the two teams competing for the title.
